Alketa MUKAVELATI

CHAIRWOMAN

Was born in 1975, graduated in 1998 as “Lawyer”, at University of Tirana. In 2000 starts her career in the post-telecommunications sector as lawyer and before being appointed as Member of Steering Board of AKEP on 26/11/2009, worked as “Director of Post-Telecommunications’ Policies” in the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications.
Currently working on her Ph.D. degree with the thesis: “EU Legislation in ICT and Electronic Communications field - Full Implementation in Albania”, at the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana.
As of 02/05/2013 Ms. Alketa Mukavelati is mandated Chairwoman of AKEP Steering Board.

Benon PALOKA

MEMBER

Was born in 1971, graduated in 1993, at Shkodra University “Luigj Gurakuqi” in “Mathematics-Physics”. In 2000 he is awarded the title “Master of Science in Information Systems Development” from the University of Hertfordshire. Works as a professor of informatics at Shkodra University “Luigj Gurakuqi”. Before being appointed as Member of Steering Board of AKEP used to work as “Director of Information Technology Service” at the Parliament of Albania.

Alban KARAPICI

MEMBER

Was born in 1968, graduated in 1992, as Electronic Engineer at Polytechnic University of Tirana. He is M.Sc. in telecommunications and MBA. He is graduating in PhD in Information technology and communications.
Result-oriented Telecom Manager and Network Engineer and with 19 years of experience specifically in Telecommunications & IT systems.
Before being appointed as Member of Steering Board of AKEP used to work as member of National Council of Radio Television and Advisor of CEO, at Albtelecom.

Zamira NURÇE (XHIHOLLI)

MEMBER

Graduated in 1988, “Financier” at the University of Agriculture, Tirana. In 2007 she is awarded the title "Master in Agricultural Policies". The experience gained in the field of economy is demonstrated working as part time professor at University of Agricultural of Tirana, before being appointed as Member of Steering Board of AKEP, on 26.11.2009.

Elkeda DOMI

MEMBER

Graduated in 1998 in “Electronic Engineering” at the Polytechnic University of Tirana. Starts her career in 1998, as manager for a private company manufacturing electronic devices. In the period 2004 – 2011 worked for AKEP as expert in the licensing directorate and the technical regulation directorate. Prior to her appointment as Member of AKEP Steering Board, she worked as head of sector in the electronic and postal communications directorate at the National Agency of Information Society.
