postal services, which oversees the regulatory framework defined by the Law on Electronic Communications, the Law on Postal Services, and the development policies established by the Council of Ministers.<\/p><p>The role, functions, and institutional competences of AKEP as the regulatory authority in the field of electronic communications and postal services are defined in the substantive legislation governing these areas in the Republic of Albania.<\/p><p>AKEP is a public, non-budgetary legal entity, managed by the Steering Council, which operates independently in its decision-making and functions based on its internal regulations, approved by the Council itself.
