Mr. Gentian Sala Appointed as Chairman of the AKEP Steering Council

Mr. Gentian Sala officially assumed the position of Chairman of the Steering Council of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP) on February 19, 2025. His appointment was made upon the proposal of the Council of Ministers, following Decision No. 42, dated January 22, 2025, and was confirmed by the Assembly of the Republic of Albania in its session on February 17, 2025, for a five-year term. At the official introduction held at AKEP’s headquarters, Ms. Evis Fico, Director of the Cabinet of the Assembly, along with the acting members of the AKEP Steering Council, were in attendance. During the meeting, discussions centered on new challenges, strategic priorities, and regulatory initiatives aimed at strengthening AKEP’s role in the electronic and postal communications sector.
