Pre-Arrival Notification: A Step Toward Modernizing Postal Services

The “Pre-Arrival Notification” system—designed to provide the advance exchange of data regarding postal shipments before they arrive in the country—was the focus of a working meeting between the General Directorate of Customs and the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP).

The meeting was focused on the coordination of actions and the technical tools of the postal service operators in the country for having the best implementation of this mechanism, which is foressen to become operational in 2026.

Launching of this system is expected to accelerate the shipment processing, improve risk analysis, and support more the efficiency and the secured management of the postal flows according to the international standards.
