Artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the role of women in technology took center stage at the regional training event ” Women Shaping the Digital Future: AI, ICT and Innovation”, attended by representatives of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), among others.
The training was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the “EU4 Gender Equality” regional program, funded by the European Union, in collaboration with ZORA – the Network of Women in Tech in Serbia.
The event brought together women entrepreneurs and professionals, as well as representatives from public institutions and civil society across the Western Balkans, to exchange experiences on empowering women in STEM, ICT, and innovation.
Key topics included the gender perspective in digital transformation, the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence, and strengthening regional professional networks.
AKEP’s participation contributes to building institutional capacity for more inclusive digital development – one where women not only participate but also lead.
