The Chairperson of the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), Mr. Gentian Sala, together with representatives of the institution, today hosted a monitoring visit from the Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development, as well as the Committee on Citizen Initiatives, Cooperation, and Institutional Oversight.
The visit, led by the respective chairpersons of the committees, Ms. Anila Denaj and Mr. Fatmir Xhafaj, focused on the fulfillment of the institution’s legal obligations and regulatory functions, while also addressing AKEP’s role in regulating and developing the electronic and postal communications sector.
The meeting served to strengthen inter-institutional dialogue and ensure more effective parliamentary oversight of the functioning of strategic sectors, as well as to identify challenges and areas for improvement within the framework of sustainable development and digital transformation.
In his remarks, the Chairperson of AKEP emphasized that direct cooperation with the Assembly is essential to increasing transparency and ensuring higher-quality services for citizens in a sector that is developing at a rapid pace.
